I come to you with CHU’AN FA...FIST LAW.  I have no weapons, but should i be forced to defend myself, my principles or my honor.  should it be a matter of life or death, of right or wrong...then here are my weapons....chu’an fa...fist law.

i understand that i am but a beginner in a new and fascinating art that will guide me to greater obligations and responsibilities.  to honor my obligations and responsibilities, i pledge myself to serve my sifu, my fellow students, and my fellow man.

purple sash pledge

i hold the art of wu shen pai sacred and freely take upon myself the obligation and responsibility that i will never misuse my skill to hurt or make afraid.  i will fight only if forced to defend myself and shall be slow to anger, quick to forgive and to forget personal affront.

i shall never let pride rule my passions and will defend, with all the skill i possess, the weak, the helpless, and the oppressed.  i pledge an unswerving loyalty to the association and my sifu.  moreover, i pledge an unending effort to earn that same loyalty from those who are my juniors in the art.

green sash pledge

i pledge a continued effort to sharpen my skills, increase my knowledge and broaden my horizons.  i shall obligate myself, under the direction of my sifu, to learn the skills of a teacher which will enable me to  teach my skills in the prescribed manner outlined by my sifu and the founder of wu shen pai.

third degree brown sash pledge

i pledge that, as my skill as a teacher progresses, i will never condemn ridicule, embarrass, or shame, any student or fellow instructor in the presence of a class or group.  all grievances or disputes shall be conducted in private, away from group observation. 

second degree brown sash pledge

i pledge that, like a doctor, the private affairs of students and fellow instructors that come to my attention during the exercising of my responsibilities are privileged communications and must never be discussed with any living soul.  i vow never to violate this pledge, nor any other, for the sake of personal benefit.

first degree brown sash pledge

i am what i am because i choose to be.  i am a warrior by choice and am subject to its law.  my brothers and my sisters in the art are my heart and my mind.  even though we may disagree, we still strive to be one, forgetting all categories, and letting energy which wishes to exist, exist.  as a warrior, i must go forth to seek the tao and the void, understanding myself and finding peace within.

1st level black sash pledge

i understand that my time and my skill are the assets to my profession.  THESE assets grow in value as i progress in the art until, as a third degree black sash, i stand as a fully qualified SIFU.  it shall also be my obligation to protect any student from ravenous individuals who would seek to divest the gullible into unprofitable paths.  to preserve the sacred things...god, family, country, and association...i pledge my all. 

2nd level black sash pledge

I pledge a continued effort to increase my skills, and sharpen both my environmental and situational awareness.  I will be loyal, courageous, trustworthy, disciplined, and obedient to my sifu.  i will strive to give back to the art by helping others to acquire knowledge of the art.  as a warrior, it shall be my obligation and responsibility to model the code of conduct and be a leadership example to my juniors.  

3rd level black sash pledge

In times of uncertainty, there is a special breed of Warrior ready to answer the call to service.  A common individual with an uncommon desire to succeed.  Forged by adversity and possessing indomitable spirit.  I am that person.  I will never quit.  I persevere and thrive on adversity.  I expect to be physically stronger and mentally harder than my enemies.  If knocked down, I will get back up, every time.  I will draw on every remaining ounce of strength to protect myself and others.  I am never out of the fight!  I will diligently train others to be just like me.
